About

Custom software built around real-world workflows.

Hi, I'm Benita. I design and build custom web applications, learning platforms, dashboards, portals, and digital systems that help organizations stay organized and work more efficiently.

My work is shaped by years of experience in software development, business operations, training administration, customer support, and technology consulting.

Technology should support the people who use it.

Built By Benita is my project showcase and professional home for the systems I build through BB Web Services. My focus is not simply creating attractive websites, but designing custom software that helps organizations stay organized, improve communication, streamline operations, and better serve the people who rely on them.

I enjoy taking scattered processes, spreadsheets, emails, paperwork, and manual tasks and transforming them into organized digital systems with clear structure, useful dashboards, and tools that are easier to manage and maintain.

Whether the project involves training, ecommerce, administration, community outreach, reporting, communication, or operational management, my goal is always the same: build technology that solves real problems and creates long-term value.

Focus Custom applications, portals, dashboards, learning platforms, and operational systems.
Style Clean, organized, user-focused, and designed for long-term maintainability.
Approach Understand the workflow first. Build the solution around it.

Background

Built from real operational experience.

My path into software development has always been connected to real people and real workflows. I have worked closely with training programs, administrative systems, community organizations, churches, nonprofits, and service-based businesses where details matter and efficiency is critical.

That experience shapes how I build. I think about who needs access, what information needs to be tracked, what actions need to happen next, what reports are required, and how the system can remain manageable long after launch.

Rather than starting with technology and working backward, I prefer to understand the workflow first and then design a solution that supports the people responsible for carrying it out.

Training & Education Registration workflows, student accounts, course access, testing, certificates, and records.
Operations & Administration Dashboards, notes, reporting, status tracking, communication, and process management.
Community & Nonprofit Work Church tools, outreach systems, food pantry workflows, volunteer support, and care tracking.

Core Strengths

Technical skills backed by operational experience.

Workflow Thinking

I can look at a complicated process and break it into pages, tables, actions, roles, statuses, records, and administrative tools.

Database-Driven Systems

I build systems that manage records, relationships, history, status changes, user actions, reporting requirements, and long-term data organization.

Training & Community Technology

My work frequently supports education, compliance, churches, outreach initiatives, nonprofits, and service-based organizations.

How I Work

My approach to building software.

I am most interested in projects where the goal is to create something useful, organized, and sustainable—not just something that looks good on the surface.

Understand the Problem

Before building, I look at the workflow, the users, the pain points, and the information that needs to move through the system.

Build Around the People

A system should make sense to the people using it, whether they are administrators, students, staff, volunteers, clients, or community members.

Keep It Maintainable

I care about structure, clarity, and long-term usability so the system can continue supporting the organization after launch.

Experience

Experience that bridges technology and operations.

My background combines computer science, business operations, application development, administrative systems, customer support, and technology consulting. Over the years I have worked with organizations ranging from small businesses and community programs to enterprise-level and Fortune 500 environments.

Prior to launching Built By Benita, I operated Groupe Communications LLC, where I worked with organizations on websites, digital projects, communication tools, and technology solutions.

Those experiences reinforced a lesson I still carry today: technology is most valuable when it solves a real operational problem. The best systems are not the most complicated—they are the ones that help people do their work more effectively.

Let's Talk

Let's talk about the system you need.

Whether you're looking to improve a process, replace manual work, organize information, streamline operations, or build something entirely new, I'd love to learn more about your project and what you're trying to accomplish.
